ANALYSIS OF MY JOURNEY

This project started with “Take an object for a walk”. I’ve walked through that way and blocks I have made sections for them. My task was to identify a marginalized “backyard” community which includes humans, non-humans, flora and fauna, constructions, technologies, weather, infrastructure, journey, etc. from this long section.

I started my journey for situational analysis at a school where those students were walking, shouting, running, and playing with one another. Where they had to be careful while crossing the road. Which is a matter of concern for the parents.

Then I saw a big lorry which interests me. Because it was carrying building materials like wood from Scotland to here for assemblage. To explain situational analysis for this lorry it's scary for people who are trying to pass the road. In fact, sometimes people who are driving small cars and motorcycles are afraid to drive beside this kind of huge lorry. Because it's carrying huge loads it also affects those specific roads because of its heaviness.

I saw a helicopter passing through very close to the ground. Which causes heavy blows of wind in its radar. People passing by were following its movement. Trees were blowing by its wind. And those birds were afraid and flew here and there by the time the helicopters were passing. It caused heavy sound pollution in the surroundings.

After walking a bit further saw a construction building. Which needs situational analysis because of the harm that it causes to people and nature. The first thing it caused very loud sounds which people are surrounded by we're disturbed and polluted by nature at the same time. A lot of people were working on the site. Because of its construction, the ground had to dig which caused no shelter for the insects that live there. The infrastructure also caused serious dust pollution as well.

Walking further I saw some people walking with their dogs. Most people with dogs went out for a walk at a specific time of the day. Sometimes people talk to one another while on a walk with their dogs about their habits, food, and grooming. Most of the time they face a problem where dogs poop while walking outside and the owner of the dog has to keep poly bags or scoop to clean up. And then put them in a dustbin. So if we can put all of them together from going out for a walk, dogs poop, clean up and bin them is a perfect example of assemblage. People who have a fear of dogs are in horrible situations when a dog barks loudly or passes through.

After further walking a seashore came in front of me. Where I could see man-made waste like fishnet, chips packet, and food cane which is causing serious damage to our environment. We can shift those waste into wonders by reusing those waste. In fact, those waste became the biggest threat to the ocean's ecosystem. The good thing is I saw some fish, sea wood, and sea shell as well which kept me hopeful to find solutions besides this bad side of it made by people like us. All we have to do is raise social awareness and an assemblage of infrastructure that can protect the sea from polluting it.

Before I came back from the sea I heard a sound and I stopped looking for it. I saw a hovercraft coming towards me. Which causes loud sounds, a splash of water, and heavy winds. Lots of people were looking at it just like me. I made video of it which you can watch here  https://samiasalim19.blogspot.com/2023/05/observe-sounds-and-situation.html
.Besides this, I wonder if something else was happening there like fishes in the path could get afraid and try to run here and there. It was a combination of both good and bad after a situational analysis of a hovercraft.

After going through a bit further all of a sudden the weather gets darker. Got very windy. It seem a storms is coming from somewhere. And the reaction from the people was epic. Everyone was running here and there to find a place to stand or to get to their destination.  Paper and packets are flying in the air. Although it was chaos out there but I enjoyed looking into those small things that we used to ignore.
All of a sudden one day I went to the seashore at midnight. And it surprises me in many ways. I saw a group of fishermen walking by the seashore to catch fish. And I was lucky to witness a fisherman catching a fish which I made a video of that you watch here https://samiasalim19.blogspot.com/2023/05/observe-situation.html
It felt amazing. I talked to that fisherman and they said mostly at night fish come to the seashore as it became safe for them to be and that's why they used to come to catch fish at night. It was very quiet, and dark and the sound was very soothing. It really was a memorable incident.

Imagine a perfect rainy day with no sun for a whole day and raining sometimes cats and dogs sometimes a bit can be very boring and joyful in lots of aspects.   People assemblage themselves with umbrellas, raincoats, and waterproof boots on foot to protect them from a day full of rain. Some things can happen like getting a splash of water from a running car or getting slipped anywhere because of wetness.

I saw an ambulance moving fast with ringing sirens loud. People are helping to get ways for the ambulance so that it can be moving without having any problems. It's a picture of the outside. But inside it's tense everywhere. Cause someone needs to be reached in the hospital on time. Even the driver is always trying to drive as fast as he can. Sometimes reaching on time can save lives as well.

Going forward I saw a group of kids playing in the field which reminds me my golden childhood. Those kids were running, shouting, playing, jumping in the air. And the field as well just the perfect place to be for a kid to grow rapidly both in mentally and physically.

I was standing someday in front of some trees where a lot of little birds were playing with each other and flying here and there in groups. Some of them were on the trees sitting and making sounds. There were some cars as well under those trees. And it was visible almost all the cars have birds dropping on them. Which interests me to think about it. As we can see even here in Portsmouth birds droppings are everywhere. Even by the seashore if you look for it it won’t be difficult to find.

There are lots of people you’ll see who've got books or papers with them always. They like to sit, read, and at the same time enjoy the spot they sit. Most of them have their own tea/coffee/water pot with them to drink as well when necessary.
