EPC Workshop:Assemblage
“EPC Workshop: Assemblage,” the title says all about what we’re going to talk about. A pretty interesting topic to talk about.
1.a machine or object made of pieces fitted together
2.a work of art made by grouping together found
We were asked to gather three objects. For me, I get them from outside. They are a bottle of Apple juice from the street, a screw found in a corner of a construction site, and a tree bunch from the park beside my house. And I prepared them before the class as we were asked to.
As you see in the title, this workshop is really about assembling things. As the lecture proceeded we learned so many ways of assembling. Which I have listed below
ways of assemblage
1. Glueing
2. Using hole
3. Friction
4. Bending
8. Twisting
9. Wrapping
7. knotting
8. Lay over
9. Topping
10. Nailing
11. Screwing
12. Hooking
13.Hanging
13. Capping
14. Wielding
15. Balancing
16. Resistance
We have been asked to work on different kinds of assemblage using those objects that we choose to bring. Below I’ll be describing some of my assemble styles.
Having said that there are lots of ways of assemblage. The first way I took is using a hole. As you can see in the pictures. I joint those objects by creating a hole in the bottle.
In this picture, assembles those objects using knots and screwing them
Connected using connections. Yeah, confusing phrases but that's what happened in this style of assemble.
While doing the work all of a sudden I bought capping can be a good idea and I tried it. And this is the result of this.
This is a perfect example of pulling things off together. I wish we could be really doing it in real life with one another. Eye soothing and a good way of assembling.
Balancing with friction can be a perfect match with the style of assembling in this picture.
This picture shows ways of assembling by knotting and hanging on something that holds. Simple yet very effective
At a first glance, it feels like a baby is lying on a piece of object. But I tried to assemble them here using glue a lying on the top method that I learned.
An example of gluing, screwing, and nailing things together to assemble something. Used all of it for this way of assembling
I loved it. The way they are home ng them together. Using a method of wrapping. Perfectly fits as you can see in the picture.
Last but not the least, balancing things together using a hole to assemble them was not the easiest for me. But patience helped me to assemble them together in an eye-soothing way using the methods of balancing and hope.
